Burning Rock Off-Road Park

Sophia, WV

Burning Rock Off Road Park is the perfect alternative to your everyday beaten path. The park, located just 3.5 miles from the town of Sophia, is situated on 10,000 acres and offers over 100 miles of trails ranging from the family-friendly Tams Loop to the "winch recommended, enter at your own risk" favorite, The Amazon. There are trails for every type of bike, atv, utv or Jeep and every type of rider from novice to pro. No ride? No problem! Onsite Polaris RzR Rentals are available.

The 70-acre trailhead is only 15 minutes from Beckley and features a general store, pavilion, campground, rustic cabins, RV hookups, Glamp and Platform tents, showers, restroom facilities and ATV Wash Rack.

There are five rustic rental cabins at the Burning Rock Park property. After all, with more than 8,000 acres, we've got the space. Our cabins are perfect for the group that is ready for ATV, dirt-bike, SxS, Jeep, or 4x4 riding and relaxing. Our cabins, which sleep up to five people, are kept clean and have everything you would need to enjoy your stay at Burning Rock. With a kitchenette and full bathroom, you'll have what you need to stay in comfort. The recent addition of our "Bunk House" has proved to be the perfect accommodation for larger groups.

Our Glamp site offers a rustic feel with some plush amenities. The glamp is a wall tent that is set up on a platform, and it is nicely furnished with a full bed, night stand and easily fits an additional cot. The Glamp also has a full bathroom equipped with a shower stall, toilet and sink. You'll also have your own refrigerator and coffee pot. The large covered porch offers a great place to sit, relax and talk about the day of riding.

Easy pull-through parking and close to our always-clean bathhouses, the RV sites at Burning Rock are great for your off road ATV vacation.
