Bluestone State Park

Hinton, WV

Bluestone State Park is the perfect lakeside retreat camping spot, located along the state’s third-largest body of water. Bluestone is home to four distinct campgrounds, with a combined total of 120 campsites.

Meador Campground has 32 sites that are open to both RV and tent campers, seven of which offer electric and water hookups. Fifteen of the sites are electric only. The campground also offers a central bathhouse for guests.

Old Mill Campground offers 44 rustic campsites. The campground is open to both RV and tent campers. The campground has a central bathhouse available for all guests.

Looking for a remote experience? Then East Shore Campground is for you. The campground offers 39 primitive sites that are accessible by boat only. NOTE: East Shore Campground will not open in 2020 due to the Phase 5 renovation/construction of the Bluestone Dam project by the Army Corps of Engineers.

Bluestone State Park has 26 cabins located in a wooded area on the mountainside above the Bluestone River. Cabins accommodate two to eight people, so they’re perfect for romantic retreats or family vacations. Select cabins are pet-friendly. Cabin guests also have access to nearby Pipestem Resort State Park’s facilities, including an indoor pool and sauna for some more rest and relaxation. Cabins are available year-round. Check in begins at 4 p.m., and check out is by 10 a.m. for all cabins.
